we have tried just about everything for financing...we have had some results but are far behind in what we need...we have been matched, have a completed home study..we applied for loans, not enough equity..applied for grants(along with 1000 others) that doesn't seem feesible...we've done fundraisers....mailouts to family, friends and businesses in our town, also local churches....that whole mailout thing was quite a shock to us...no response except nos...including our family...this was very upsetting ..but we know we are doing what God wants us to do...if anyone knows of any other way we can get financing...Please let us know

Hi.. did you try financing through your regular bank for a home equity loan or did you go to a place that actually does adoption loans? I have heard there are low interest loans specifically for adoptions... I also applied for a grant... since I am a single parent.. but never even heard from the places I applied

I saw somewhere on here in one of the threads about a couple who helps do fundraising for people adopting.. you may want to do a search on the net for that...

It is such a shame.... that financial situations stop us from parenting... I would love to adopt another child... but the overall cost with travel and agency and legal fees topped over $38,000 ! (Yes, I think I got taken in some way.. but I have a beautiful daughter that is priceless)

I have heard the best route to go (as far as finances go) is thru the state system... however, since you have been matched already... that wouldn't work... I wish you the best of luck !

If your friends and family won't donate money, how about some junk they just want to get out of their house??? Check out this website for a good idea, but you need to give yourself time, which I'm not sure you have...Another option...
