Seeking Employment in Adoption Support
Hello, I have a Master's degree in psychology and am doing research on older child adoptions and attachment/bonding. I have been searching for employment where I might help with placements and give parent training to adoptive parents and work with the kids as well. In my search I have found a lot of dead ends. It seems there are not many resources for adoptive families in need of support with behavioral or emotional difficulties/special needs adoptions.
Does anyone know of any agencies or private practice therapists/psychologists in the Phoenix, Arizona area who does this kind of work? I really want to put my research to good use by working in this feild. Thanks! vrefkin@alliant.edu
