Kathleen) joined our community in 2005 in search of her birth son. Kathleen gave birth on her 21st birthday had placed her son in 1972 into a closed adoption. After placing her son, she met her dh and they were married in July of 1973. The next 34 years proved to be very busy ones for Kathleen as a mom of 2 other children, a schoolteacher of music and going onto the Seminary where she graduated in 1993. She was ordained as an ECLA Lutheran pastor in 1994. Believe it or not, Kathleen discovered that her bson had posted his information on Adoption.Com in 2000! Although the contact information was out of date, Kathleen was able to find him and they have been in reunion since October of 2005. Congratulations to them both!! Today, Kathleen is a very busy minister to her Lutheran parish and her dedication lies in working with small congregations and rural ministry. She not only cares for her parish, but also still makes time for her large family with 8 grandchildren who call her Nana. When she isn’t busy spending time with her family at home, or vacations to the Poconos and Texas with family, Kathleen enjoys reading, knitting and quilting. Kathleen also retains her love of music with singing and playing the flute. Kathleen has shared her experiences all over our forums and is a great support to many members. She expands her support by moderating the Birthfamily, healing, recovery and success forum. To find the time and dedication for all her support and care taking is truly amazing and we are blessed to have her as a part of our wonderful community here on Adoption.Com!
