Question Step-parent Adoption (Hawaii)

My son was born April of this year, and I was married to my HS sweetheart (not the biological father) in March of this year. The Bfather of my son is unknown. What steps do we need to take for my husband to adopt my son. We wanted to do the process correctly, otherwise my husband could have easily just signed the Birth Certificate himself, but we did not want to blatantly lie. I read somewhere that your spouse (at the time of your child's birth) is presumably the father....

Please help...
