I looked into them a bit and if I wanted to adopt, didn't have a budget, and wanted a very short wait I'd use them. Hope that helps some. Holly

"A Act of Love" AP's willing to communicate via email?
Hi,
Holly (or anyone), do you know of anyone who has adopted through "A Act of Love" that would be willing to talk with us more about their experiences? We' d love to talk with them via email, phone, mail or however they feel comfortable. Thanks, Adam |

a act of love info
We have been working with act of love for the past three months, they did provide us references that my wife has called.
All were glowing, if you would like info on our experience thus far let me know. |

We checked the references they provided and they were glowing of course. (What agency would tell you to call someone who is dissatisfied?) I saw the complaint on The Adoption Guide and it struck me as odd because there has to be more to that story if DCFS was involved in it. I had a list of three agencies in UT that I contacted UT DCFS about and all three had complaints, investigations etc. All the issues had been resolved per DCFS, so it's really a roll of the dice no matter whom you go with. I networked with several other people online who had used AAOL and they had good things to say.
We're waiting for our homestudy to finish here and then we'll be rolling along. HOpe that helps you out some. Becki |
