HELP, know a good (or bad)FL agency?

We are just starting and need to know what agencies to look out for and which to trust. We live in Florida. Thanks in advance for ANY help!

Are you Adopting Internationally, Domestic, or Foster/Adopt?

I had a "Nightmare" experience with Williams International Adoptions.

The AdoptionGuide.com also has a listing of recommended or Agencies who have complaints in Florida!

Do a lot of Homework and Research, and go with your instinct!

We live in Central Fl and want to adopt domestically a biracial baby. Any agencies you can recommend??? It is ok if they are not in the central Fl area.

They are who we are with.
She is a small Agency and works with only a handful of couples at one time.

Are wanting a cauc baby, AA or biracial? I am just curious to know how long the wait time generally is for a biracial baby. Did you use Cynthia for your HS?

Did you get in touch with Shannon at Little Angels?

I did speak to her on the phone yesterday and she was waiting for a birthmom to deliver.

Usually she just forwards her phone calls to her cell phone.
She is pretty easy to get in touch with.

We used American Adoptions and they are licensed in Florida. We had a very good experience and the adoption was complete in about 6 months. They have a web site that you can check out for info. Good luck!

We were signed up with Little Angels Adoption since February of 2003.
We brought our baby girl home on 1-30-04, Two days after she was born.

The Adoption Guide

They have a listing of agencies/individuals who client parents have had problems with.

I am more than a little curious why some agencies names are edited and some are allowed to go through. The last post in this thread was edited, but the names before that remained.

I am not sure what is allowed to be posted on this board anymore.
