Wink Adopting out of birth order... your thoughts.

My husband and I have 3 bio children ages 7,5 and 3. We have been foster parents their whole lives, and are finalizing the adoption of their older brother who is 17. He has been in foster care for 9 years. Although there is, what I consider healthy sibling rivalry between him and our oldest daughter (7), things have been great. Now we are considering adopting again... and this time also out of birthorder. We would like another son between 10 and 14. Has anyone had experience adopting a "middle child", out of birth order, or older children? I'd love to hear your thoughts and *positive* advice! Thanks!
