Called abour classes

Now I just have to talk to my husband more. We have talked about it and he's on board, just scared. We are going to hopefully start in January and will be going through the foster classes with the additional hours to adopt. We want to adopt a sibling group that is waiting. I found a group of 3 that I would take in a heartbeat. I never thought I would consider an older child but I've had a newborn and why not an older child? The sibling group I saw they are 9 B, 12 and 13 G, brother and sisters. The girls just want a mom to show them girly things, how to do thier hair and makeup, take them shopping and get thier nails done. The boy simply wants a dad that will go outside and play sports with him and show him how to build things. There were also 12 year old twin girls, they looked exactly alike except 1 was blonde with blue eyes the other brown with brown eyes. I just never thought I would consider this and the more I think about it, it's like why not.

We will take our classes in Jan. our house will not be done until April though so we will just wait to do our homestudy unless they can locate ours from March for the adoption of our daughter. I'm pretty dang excited.

Hi, I'm sort of in the same situation as you are. Starting classes in Jan and house not being ready until late Feb/March. I live with my mother instead of a husband, so I'm single. We currently live in a 2 bedroom house, so I am buying a 3 bedroom. My mother is disabled so we have to convert the master suite into a more wheelchair accessible room, but that will only take a month or two.

I'm hoping to adopt one or two boys (sibling group) between 4-9/10 yrs old. Boys are so hard to place and I would feel more comfortable with boys. My cousins and stepsister all have boys between 2 - 12 yrs so my boys would fit in with the lot.

With the holidays coming up, I'm hoping next year I will have two kids in the house looking forward to them opening presents and such.

Are you and your husband thinking about what the holidays might hold for you in the future?
