Older children contracts
Hi!
We are still fairly new to the process, but are finishing our MAPP classes and our homestudy is complete - we hope to leap into the matching phase in the next month or so. We are planning to adopt a boy (7 - 11). We have spent countless hours reading books and internet information as well as gaining as much as we can from this forum. Numerous books recommend establishing a contract with older children upon placement, has anyone found this helpful? If so do you have an example that we could use, any help would be appreciated! __________________ |

We didn't do any contracts with any of our foster or adoptive placements (they were all 7 to 12 yrs old). We did established rewards and consequences (and they were specific or adjusted for each placement).
