I've been matched!!!
I found out today that I have been selected as the "adoptive placement" for an almost 10 year old girl! There's a long road ahead, but I'm thrilled to have made it this far!!!

Congratulations! My husband and I were matched with a 9 year old girl - and her 3 and 4 year old siblings - from Poland last summer. She turned ten when we first visited her.

Woooo Hoooo, Congrats Dawnmei!!! My DD was 8.3 years old when she came home forever. She is now 10+, and home for 2 years!!! She has been the biggest blessing in my LIFE! YOu will have some rocky roads, but the smooth ones are wonderful!!!

IMO, this is the perfect age!!!
My daughter was 10 when she moved in almost 6 months ago, and had her 11th birthday with us. A few years down the road, ONLY considering my daughter, she'd have been quite set in her ways and not as accepting to parents "ruling her"...when she was so used to being the one who "ruled herself". Congratulations and PLEASE keep us posted!
