Red face Adopting two babies, two of things?

For those of you who have adopted two babies at once or have multiples please help...
My husband and I stand in the baby store overwhelmed...
What are your babies favorite products for bouncy and swings?
Do you have two of things?

thanks
corhen

Hi Corhen,

I was a nanny of twins & I'm hoping to adopt twins or have 2 that are close to the same age

I had 2 of the bouncy seats, it made feeding times much easier when they started eating baby food. I could put them both in there, sit them infront of me and alternate mouths

When they got older(and too big for the sink) I had 2 seats that went into the bathtub so I could bath them together. One could sit and play in the water while I washed the other and vis versa.

I did have 2 slings. I carried the boys a lot of the time when they were little. But I made them myself lol

The only other thing I had 2 of(and ONLY because the parents were rich and could afford it) was the really nice exer-saucers. I think the ones we had were in the $120 range...I dont' think you really NEED them..but they are nice if you are going to be the only caregiver and NOT have a full time maid lol I could put the boys in them and get the kitchen mopped or the laundry folded etc.

I would not buy anything major like exer-saucers until the kids arrive Some children just HATE them.

I'm sure there will be other people chiming in here soon

We have 2 nearly 2.5 year olds. They came home when one was 5 months old and the other came home 3 months later at 6.5 months old.

The only things we have two of are high chairs, cribs, and car seats. We also have a double stroller. Everything, except maybe a few odds and ends toys we have only one.

Have fun shopping!

Kim

we have 2 (at least) of nearly everything. And 4 car seats. 2 in my car, 2 in dh's. We only had 2 infant carriers when they were little, but had the extra base for dh's car. I liked it because we KNEW they were always hooked up correctly, and when we were in a rush it was really handy.

We only had 1 swing (which was o.k. because only 1 liked it).

My advice is start with the minimum you think need - especially with the expensive stuff, it's easier to add an extra something than return it. And space wise 2 of everything can be tough. Our 2 exersaucers took up alot of room in our kitchen - but were VERY handy when I was cooking dinner.

One of everything except high chairs(especially when they are older), car seats and beds. I'd rather have a larger variety of things for the kids to do than have two of only a few.
