Single BR/AA Adoption
Hello everyone- I am a single caucasian woman planning to adopt either through Ethiopia or domestic AA/BR. I'm wondering if anyone has heard timelines for similiar situations. How long was the wait for placement? I realize each placement has many variables- just curious about some real life examples out there. Thanks a bunch and good luck to everyone waiting!

I am single and adopted from Ethiopia. From start to finish my process was just about 11 months. Of course 4 of those months was me fighting with the state of Indiana to get a copy of my birth certificate. I also started the process over 2 years ago so wait times have changed. If going with Ethiopia, the agency you pick will determine your wait time -- it has nothing to do with being single and everything to do with how many clients they already have waiting.
