Autism in siblings
We have been contacted regarding an AA baby but there are 2 siblings that have autism. I have read alot about symptoms, etc. but not much about the chances of the child having autism if there are 2 of the 4 siblings that have it. Just wondered if anyone had any experience with this. Thanks for any input you can give us.

I would call a geneticist if possible and ask some questions. I do know that there is a form of mental retardation called Fragile X Syndrome that affects male children in a much more significant way than the female children and does cause autistic symptoms in children. Could you ask if there is an underlying cause for the autism? Wish I could help more.
