our family is Complete!
after an 8 mo wait on our second adoption, we brought our little boy home on sunday. we got the call on wed. for a last minute placement, drove to san diego thurs. just to meet the bmom, were told she would take awhile to decide, so we didnt really expect to come home with a baby. she had it narrowed to 3 families and by fri. she had decided and we matched. we brought tyler "ty" salim(peaceful) home from the hospital on saturday. Whew! and Of course i came down with a cold as soon as we got home...Oh Joy!
now the fun begins....a teenager, a toddler, and a newborn...life is Crazy!, but Good! he's a little guy, 4.10, 17" at birth. so we are workin on gettin some meat on those bones.

I posted to you on the 'adopting again' forum to say 'congrats'.....just wanted to add that when dh and I were 23..we adopted our first. Our second baby came when we reached 25yrs of age. At that time, we said, 'We want to have all of our children by the time we are 25yrs old!"
Well....that's what we thought then.........now, in our late 40's.....we also have adopted several more times...with the youngest two being 3 and 2yrs old. (And.....perhaps one day, we'll adopt again.......) The point being.......sometimes, when you think your family is complete?...well.....it's just starting! (((HUGS)))Sincerely, Linny |
