I have read about these agencies....but have not worked with them.
Let me bring about another thought, though........no matter what agency, facilitation service or attorney you decide to go with, keep in mind that ANY entity that asks for large amounts of money up front (app fees)....OR that will NOT refund your money ----should the birthparents decide to parent.....are NOT necessarily the best places to use as an adoption resource.
There ARE agencies/attorneys who do NOT ask for large amounts of money, and/or will refund money if you receive a placement from another place. There are some agencies that will NOT take any large amounts of money UNTIL the baby is totally 'free and clear' for adoption.

Beware of entities that tell you, "OHhhhh, you won't lose your money, because we will roll that money into another situation'.....OR....."You won't lose your money, because we will match you with the VERY NEXT birthmother!'.......OR that say, "You will only lose X amount of your match money, because we'll put that in a special account for you for the next match!' THIS is baloney, and it's a common practice for FAR too many groups! Keep in mind, the AGENCY is seldom the deciding factor in 'who will parent this baby'. Rather, the choice is up to the birthfamily.......and NO agency/attorney can predict WHEN that will actually be!
What they are saying, in essence is: 'We now have your money and now you are STUCK with us!'

I have seen it happen: Couples try to network with other agencies/attorneys, pay $2500 here, $3000 there...and then when another agency calls to say, 'Hey, we have a baby here.......would you like to be considered?"....the couple have to decline, because THEIR money is tied up with two other agencies and they 'can't get to it'!!!!! And truly, sometimes, these couples end up losing that money altogether, because along comes a 'sure thing' (baby is already born, etc).....and they realize (though, too late) that they don't want to be tied to 'just one resource'!

Please be careful. Be guarded with your hard earned money you have saved for adoption. There ARE agencies and attorneys out there that are still ethical and reasonable. It takes some time to find them, but they exist. In this way, you'll be sure to have more control over your money and will be able to have it available when you actually get a call.

Best of luck....

Sincerely,

Linny
