I'm looking for my birth mother and family.... but i am finding it hopeless. I have no idea where to begin. I was born in the USA and adopted into a family in canada...How do i find who i am... My mother didnt go through an adoption agance. I feel like there is a part of me missing and I am loosing hope of finding it...if anyone has suggestions where to start looking please let me know.

Don't give up. What is a mystery today could turn out to be a reality tomorrow. Searching can sometimes be long, difficult and painful. But if you have the will and the endurance to stick it out, you may just end up with the results that you want. If you give up the search, and someone is out there searching for you then you may just be closing the window for all of you.....always be available somewhere in the searchers world, and never say never!

I'm glad you've posted. Perhaps you will find more help here at the Forum. What have you done so far to search? I'm not a searcher but maybe I or someone else can give you more ideas or places to try. PLEASE DONT GIVE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello, i saw your post entitled "I'm about to give up" and i just stopped by to say "DON'T GIVE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!"
If you look up my name on this site and find some posts that i posted before you will see that many times i got upset and decided that it was time for me to give up my search even though i am not very old. But due to the many people helping me out and tellin me not to give up i didn't. And guess what i found my birth-mothers address and some other information about her. SO see if you give up then one day u will not be able to post a thread saying you found your bith-mother. I know it gets upsetting from time to time i mean most things that are hard do get upsetting, but u have to remember that you started searching for a reason so please don't give up now. I can understand if you feel you need to take a break because it can be hard but please don't give up or i have a feeling and you will wish you hadn't.

I am so sorry i just realized that i am rambling on and on! wow! Ok well i am here if you ever need to talk i am not very good at searching but i if you would like to talk i am always here for you and i am told that i give good advice when i try. Please just remember that there are people who care and no matter how bad times get there is always someone who cares, see i don't even know you and i care alot. I don't know if you believe in God but as for me i know he cares and is always right by me whenever i need to talk to someone.

Sweetie just keep your chin up and keep plucking along, post at as many sites as you can, becareful what you post, maybe just your DOB and that you are female. There are a lot of scammers out there as I have recently found out.
Just have faith that things will work out when and how they are supposed to.

Please don't give up yet. I know you can hit a lot of dead ends, but in the end continue to follow your dreams and you just might hit a pot of gold. You never know. As a birthmom myself, who found my daughter, it is quite an experience the first time you have contact. Try not to loose hope. I know that it can be very discouraging, but just hang in there. Remember you are never alone and this can be a long process. My prayers are with you as you do your search. spete
