Hi, I am new here...
I just wanted to say hello, and introduce myself. I never thought I would ever be posting on an adoption board, though I have known all my life that I was adopted. When I was younger (mid teens) I wanted to know why my bmom gave me up, and at that point in my life I think I hated her. Thirty four years later, I find out that my birth brother is looking for me. I was floored, I never knew or even had a clue that I had any siblings out there. I have no ill feelings toward my bmom now, no bitterness, just thankful that she gave me up to the wonderful family I have now.
My adoptive parents and brother are very supportive of me meeting my birth brother. And I myself am anxious to meet him. I am very thankful that they do support me, because I feel in my heart that I have to meet him at least once. Good luck to everyone in their searches, and I will keep you informed as to how this goes. ![]() Tammy Ingold |

Welcome, Tammy
Tammy,
You will find a lot of support and excellent advice on this site. I myself am an adoptee who has just (2 weeks ago) reunited w/ my b-mom. Things are awesome, and it amazes me how raw her feelings are to this day in regards to giving me up. I wish you lots of luck w/ your reunion.

Hi Tammy - Welcome to the forum. That's exciting news finding out not only that you have a brother but that he is looking for you. It's wonderful that your aparents and abrother are supportive. Must mean that you, like I, were fortunate enough to truly be part of a family.
Best of Luck & let us know how your reunion with your bbrother goes. Last edited by dl : 02-15-2003 at 04:28 PM. |

and good luck! I will be anxious to hear you're story since I have a half-sibling I haven't met yet, and I want to be careful how she is treated, being on the other end of things.
Sincerely,
