Smile New to site...searching

Hello all,
I am a 35 year old male who is searching for my B-Parents. I have done just enough searching to see that I am going to need help. I was (I have been told) that I was adopted out of Catholic Charities. I was baptized in Opa-Locka Fl. I have a copy of my Birth certificate but hospital, time of birth and Dr are blank.
I understand that FL seals all adoption by default. I need some help in direction here. I was born 7-31-67 in (again what I have been told) Miami. I can be reached at gnostic85@hotmail.com.
Just looking at the various posts I am comforted by the new found company I am in. I see a lot of things I have thought alone are indeed echoed many times over. I truly look forward to getting to know people better here and hope to make friends as well as headway. Thank you.
Shawn

Hello and Welcome.........

Hello Shawn, Welcome to the adoption forum site..you've come to the right place. Searching seems like an uphill battle at times, but take comfort in knowing that you are working towards finding out about your past. Anyone that's not an adoptee doesn't know what it feels like to not know where you come from, if you have someone walking around that looks like you..walks like you..talks like you... Have you sent away to the State of Fla. for your ammended birth certificate yet?, have you sent away for your non-I.D. information yet? - These are things you should start with, and definitely register with the I.S.R.R. Registry at www.ISRR.com, and you can register your birthdate at www.adoption.com. You will always find people on this site willing to help you as well..Good luck in your search!!!!!

Talking Thank you

Vicrose,
Thank you for the info. No I have not done those things yet, in fact I did not know that option was available to me. I will do so right away. It is a strange feeling to be legally denied my heritage by unknown people while so many other liberties and perceived rights violations are so passionatley defended and abhorred by society as a whole. I have been told that I am the youngest of five and it is very frustrating to wonder if they even know I exist nevermind the anxiety I feel in not knowing my geneology....
