HELP NEEDED! I'm in UK, but B/father in USA....where do I start????

The other problem is, that he was married with children, and they apparently knew nothing about his affair and my birth. ( he knows I was born, and sent money to my b/mother until I was adopted.) My birth mother does not want any contact, and has only provided me with the above details of my father. Where do i go from here?? What can I do from the UK???
