I'm majoring in Computer Engineering. One of only 2 girls (at my grade level) in computer engineering too =D
Power to the women!! Lol

when I get to my co-op (in January) I'll be the only female engineer there too lol

I'm all for creating a little diversity in an otherwise male dominated field =)

Hang in there, winter break isn't too far away.

Both of my brothers are computer engineers. My favorite sister in law, also a computer engineer, would tell you to be very careful or you might end up marrying one of those geeky guys She told me in school she used to dress down and not do a thing with her hair, no makeup, and was mean to the guys so they wouldn't bug her LOL but it backfired, it seems my brother likes mean messy geeky girls!

I read the forum during my down time at work. I seem to have a lot of down time. lol I've spent a lot of time over the past several years being one of those ventors Kathy mentioned. Now that I'm moving past all that anger, I don't seem to have as much to say. Go figure. lol now I am just trying to observe, listen, learn, and figure out where to go from here, and what to do with all this experience, and wisdom, I have hopefully gained. Hopefully I can put it to some use for the good. I would hate to think everything I've been through was for nothing...if so,seems like such a waste of time. Sheesh, could've spent all that time doing, i dunno, something a little more fun, like a toncelectemy, or having my wisdom teeth extracted. At least after those things you get ice cream.

Elaine, hang in there. You have all my support. It's not you. People, who have the courage to speak the truth and stand up for their rights, are intimedating to others. Think of Martin Luther King, the women, who won the rest of us girls the right to vote, etc. You are one of my heros girl.

There must be some good use for all we have learned thru this, other than just for ourselves. I've read and written more with this subject than I ever did with anything in college! And the time involved, over a decade of full time study..... I feel like I should have a degree in something LOL

LOL I don't do anything with my hair either and I tend to wear whatever I pull out of my closet that day (at least it's clean hehe) but that comes less from wanting people to leave me alone and more from the fact that I came from an all girls high school and that's just how we dressed (it was a habit for 4 years LOL).

Yea, the guys in my classes are SUPER smart (and some of them are SUPER geeky LOL) but they're all really nice to me. =D

I got lots of compliments from them when I had to dress up for interviews (it was the first time most of them had seen me wear makeup and actually do something with my hair LOL).
