How Do I Begin My Search and How to Regain MEMORIES?

Im at a loss here cause I found out my Birth info is most likely false. I am desperate to find some sort of history about my B-Fam but I have no clue what to do. I dont think I can just let go and move on without atleast trying one more time. Someone PLEASE HELP and give me some good advice.
Also anyone no anything about Memory Recall or how to go through the process of trying to regain lost memories? I know some how there got to be a way to get some of these memories out of this crazy brain of mine. When I was younger, 5 and 6, I used to tell stories to my A-grandmom about my life in Korea. I used to tell her about my grandfather and the place I used to live and some of the things I used t o do over there. Now I cant remember any of it. Has anyone Experienced this and if you have were you able to regain any memory?
I would greatly appreciate any thoughts on any one of my dilemmas. So please Someone HELP!!!

Have you considered looking into hypnosis? I've read that some people have had successful memory recall with the assistance of a hypnotherapist.

I don't have any experience with it or much information on it but you might be able to research on the subject and see if you think it's worth a try.

Good luck.

There are books available that help with working with the inner child. One that I know of is Adoption Healing ... a path to recovery by Joe Soll. I have been through many of the exercises and have been able to recall many things from when I was very young. I hope this will help you. Also about searching for your bfamily is it possible for you to contact the agency or lawyer that handled your adoption. That is route I had to take after finding my information was false in my file. Best wishes for you... I understand how important this all is to those seeking to know their bfamilies.

I don't know much about obtaining information if you were adopted internationally, so I did a Google search and here are some links that you should check out - -

Korea Adoption Registry - this is a Korean adoption reunion registry.

I would contact the adoption agency that handled your placement - I am not sure, but I'd assume that they would be able to release non-identifying information to you much like agencies within the US. Or, perhaps they are even more lax than here in the US as far as records are concerned...do you know if Korea seals adoption records? I'd start by answering that question...and I'd also guess that somewhere there are documents filed with the US government pertaining to your adoption as well.

Two other websites that I found would not load properly, but there are registries for Korean adoptees out there!

There is a book called The Vein of Gold.. written by Julia Cameron..
She has a person write down their life in five year increments.. and she has a person write down the facts.. favorite toy etc..
Then she has a person go back to the five year increments and mine for gold.. look for the places that are 'hot'..

It was hard when I did it.. and there are still places and things I can not remember.. but its a start..
And its a record for years from now.. I picked up this sort of journal just recently and re read..and added more..
