Why Isn't There A Thread On How To Start Looking For Birthparents WITHOUT A NAME?!
I HATE this! This is the most INFURIATING, FRUSTRATING, DEPRESSING M*E*S*S!!!! I literally HATE sealed adoption! They ought to be ILLEGAL! As I've thought for YEARS, they're nothing more than LEGAL, MENTAL ABUSE!!!! Does anyone else feel this way, or am I alone?! I have other feelings about it and nobody understands my feelings, because they are so "out there" & "different than any other cases I've known!" This is why I keep it to myself!
SO....How do you look for your birthparents names?!?! I do NOT know either names. HOW DO I START?! I Googled my name and came up with info from here about ME!!!! |

Have you tried ordering your non-identifying information from the County where your adoption took place? After 26 years, this is how I found my son's name. I was told to request either a first name or a last whichever was less identifying. The key here is to REQUEST that info, not assume they will give it to you....
What I got was all first names, that of my son and both of his parents. It cost about $30 and took over 2 months but it paid off for me... Hope this helps. Edited to add: If your info is here, I assume this means someone is looking for you... I would also google adoption registries and check everyother database out there. You may pick up a few more bits of info... Aslo, have your registered with About ISRR Most say this is the place to start (why you are googling of course...) Good luck!

Oceans is right try to get your non Id first. I got my none ID first and check if the state that you where adopted out of has an adoption search program. I went through the WI Adoption seach program and they found my birth mother in days she had to sign consent as my case was also a closed case adoption. So hang in there. I did not know my birth name until I was able to have the consent of my birth mother.

Thank you for replying. I will check into this. I live in Illinois and was born here also. I was born 63 mi. NW of here. Can I obtain the weight and height at birth and MY first and middle name given at birth?! The first or last name is that for BOTH of my natural parents?! I also wondered if I had a Priest up there at the Catholic churches announce if someone knows anything about 12/30/54 to contact him!? Just a hunch!
I gotta go! I thought about going up to the town I was born in and walking around through the towns in the area shopping with 12/30/54 on the back! I've thought about putting an ad in the paper up there: ANYONE WITH INFORMATION ABOUT A BABY GIRL BORN 12/30/54 contact me at this address. FRUSTRATING WITH NO NAME TO LOOK FOR! |

Ocean thank you for your response! I will try all that you've provided me with! I inquired about a search angel and it's not fruitful.
