Seeking guidance on adoption reversal..
Hello I'm curious if anyone could help me or steer me in the right direction. My wife was adopted by her stepmother about 9 years ago. She simply did this to appease her dad, her birth mother passed away 2 years prior to her doing this. Well her dad never actually filed or finalized the adoption so we need to get the adoption reversed. We can't get her a new birth certificate because it says there is a pending adoption. And the original was destroyed by her stepmother. If there is anyone out there that could help me out and tell me what steps I need to take I would greatly appreciate it.

I don't know... but I wonder if the birth record is still out there regardless of what stepmom did with her copy.
Assuming your wife is over 18 then she can consent... or not... to the adoption, so that could also be a route to take to refuse the "pending" adoption. Sounds like a challenging situation.
