any other adoptees suffer from sleepwalking

I have had very serious bouts of sleepwalking I was wondering if any one else has.

I did as a child. I used to wake up two floors down, in the basement, sleeping on the cement floor. I would wander around the whole house.

I thought I just grew out of it, I don't think I have done that for over 20 years now. Worst time for me was the school years.

I slept walk until I was 19. The pediatrician told my mom it was because I was very active and my mind wouldn't shut off. Well I grew out of the sleep walking but my mind never does shut off, especially now in reunion. I told someone the other day I am surprised I haven't been sleep walking with all of the (over) thinking I do.

I sleepwalk sometimes but don't think it has anything to do with me being adopted. Is there some correlation between sleepwalking and adoption that I don't know about?

As a kid, I had terrible problems with sleepwalking. I would walk, talk, move furniture and have recurring dreams. When I had those dreams I would wake up flapping my arms in front of a mirror. Once, I even left our apartment and was heading to the elevator. I seem to remember reading somewhere that it's a common problem for adoptees. Not surprising, really. I can't remember when it stopped.
