Grey's Anatomy

Did anyone watch Grey's Anatomy tonight (April 19th)? One of the main characters, Izzie Stevens is a bmom who reliquished her baby at birth. In tonight's show, the aparents sought her out because the adoptee was in need of bone marrow from a blood relative. I was thrilled with how the writers of the show protrayed the birthmother as a strong, intelligent woman and the aparents as loving and accepting of the bmother's role in their child's life. The aparents refered to the adoptee as "our daughter" thus including the bmom as a parenting figure. IMO, shows like this will go a long way to dispell the myths surrounding adoption and reunion.

Wow! That's great! I'm sure we'll get that episode umm, in a year or two...
I remember seeing the episode where she talked about being a bmom and I was hoping they would address it again.

I saw this episode, also. I was in tears with a smile on my face. I was also very impressed with the way they wrote this storyline and I hope that it is touched on again in the future. They seemed to have put in a lot of thought and research into how it was done and, in the end, I think they did a great job with it.

Bmom here, and i was very pleased with how they addressed the situation honestly to each member of the triad (I feel).
