Voiding an Adoption
Can anyone inform me on how to go about voiding my childhood adoption?? The relationship with my adoptive father is totaly unrepairable and the realtionship with my birthmother is non-existant. I am 53 years old and have been fighting this since I was 14 when my adoptive father returned from VIetnam. Just not commuicating for the last 5 years is pure hell, as I am not the bad apple of the family. My younger brother has been convicted of car theft and was dishonorable discharged from the US Navy in 92. I am an honorable discharged Vietnam vet as well a former Boy Scout Master, have never been in jails or institutions but I am the one that is shunned. I am through. Can this adoption be voided or anulled in Louisiana or Georgia where it was finalized?? Any help here would be appreciated.

Hey there, sorry to hear about your afamily and what you have been thru. I found this link that might be helpful to give you the information you are requesting. I, myself, have never even heard of annulling an adoption, but apparently it does happen. So, here you go, hope it helps:
