Heart Pondering my Connection...

As I come to terms with the impending death of my bMother I've been giving a great deal of thought to our connection. One of my deepest fears is the disconnect. I came across a quote from a book recently that resognated with me in expressing my innermost feelings. It suggests as an adopted child we miss and yearn for the security and serenity of oneness with the one who gave birth to us. There is a continuum of bonding and hence a profound connection that leaves us with a particular feeling of aloneness. For me, reuniting with my bMother gave me sense of connection much like a circle, it's continuous. I am working on discovering a way of transitioning the physical to emotional, and spiritual. The blessing in all of this is my heart has experienced all three. The reconciling to follow will be the elusive distance between head and heart.

Rose, you could really say that about any difficult situation...the nice thing about parents (meaning natural parents) is that they are "inside you" literally...your bmother and bfather make up your body and soul (not to say aparents don't contribute to that as well). When you were born you had a spirit and it was made up of your parents spirits...you still have that spirit...tap into it and feel it around you and you will always always have your mother with you.

Hf, I have been thinking about this alot! Today I was reflecting on the legacy of my bMother and the positives I can take with me, you're right in so many ways she'll always be with me. Thanks, kindly!
