Welcome Keith,
You're in the right place for support as there is plenty here . It's nice to know coming here that your feelings are perfectly normal as people who aren't touched by adoption don't "get it " at times why we feel the way we do.Pip ![]() |

Keith...It's ok to feel as you do..it is all pretty overwhelming and conflicting at times, too. Trying to find a place for these new people, whether to meld them with the current people..your adoptive family in particular...and then find a balance, too...it's not easy.
Having been raised or lived in different places, situations..that adds more to the picture. It struck me that a lot of the stuff you now feel, I used to feel before meeting the son I had...I feel better in many ways..but I am coming from a different side of all of this than you are. What is it about them that is so draining, do you mind saying? Since you see them so frequently, are we to assume that they live near to you? We sure don't want you taxed, so maybe if you can let out a little more, we can listen.... |
