I have read in several forums that Ohio changes the date of birth on the original birth certificates. Makes me wonder if the adoption agency has given me my ACTUAL date of birth. Anyone else heard of this or had problems with bogus information? I'm getting really frustrated. I am 39 years old and being told "NO!" by some stranger. Kinda hard to accept. I have written to my local state representatives with little or no repsonse. Does anyone relate?!?!?!

Sometimes you need to NOT read so much into the message boards.
I have been doing OH adoptee searches for many many years and to date have NOT had one case where the DATE OF BIRTH was changed.
Does OH make mistakes? You betcha, but I am saying I HAVE NEVER had a case of a date of birth being changed on purpose.

Now I read most of your messages and wonder why you never posted to the OH message board for assistance?

Do you know who handled your adoption? I would like to try to assist you if possible.
