I am a reunited adoptee, and have been on these boards for a while. It's been a while since I've been on though.

My half brother, who I was reunited with less than a year ago, is getting married. He's only 17 now, which makes him WAY too young, but to each his own. But to explain the subject, he asked me to be his best man!! It's just so surreal for me to be my brother's best friend, eventhough we've not known each other our whole lives.

He also grew up w/o any siblings, and eventhough I was adopted, he has nearly no memory of our mother(to those who have never heard my story, she's been missing for a very long time).

So aside from his father and aunts and unlces, I'm the only family he has. So in conclusion, while I may disagree with him getting married so young, his asking me to stand next to him for it was the best gift he could have given me.
