Have a question??????

Hi all,

Sent for my Non-Id information about 6 weeks ago, today while I was at work, the department of social services called me.....I got home to late to call back.... I had it in my mind that I wouldn't hear until Decemeber or later...that's what they told me when I sent in the paper work...The phone call was a surprise to say the least..... Does anyone know why they would have called???? Any information would greatly be appreciated!!!! Thanks everyone

Hmm...

Whom did you contact to request non-identifying information? If it was the state, maybe they called regarding your case...I know that in NYS, if you request any information at all from the NYS Health Department's adoption registry they will re-open your case, and if your birthmom (or a member of your bio family) has also contacted the registry you are BOTH notified. That could be one reason...

Definetly call them back and find out!!

Thanks Nicole!!!

That's what I was wondering. It was Social Services that my paperwork went through. I guess I was so geared up thinking it would all be done in the mail, that the phone call through me off.
I truly though sooo much time had past that there wasn't much there. When I first call to get the paper work sent to me, SS said it would take at least 4 month for legal to get anything out, so I had wonder if anyone else has had a phone call and why, You know trying not to foresee the future, but tomorrow can't come fast enough, Thanks again!!!!!!!
