BIRTH MOTHER GAVE ME UP BECAUSE SHE ALREADY HAD ONE OTHER CHILD - A SON (BORN IN 1969) AND DID NOT FEEL SHE WOULD BE ABLE TO COPE WITH A SECOND CHILD. SHE DID KEEP HER SON TO RAISE. THOUGH OUR BIRTH FATHER WAS NOT THE SAME. BIRTH MOTHER HAD 4 BROTHERS OF HER OWN. SHE WAS ON GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE AT THE TIME OF MY BIRTH. MY BIRTH FATHER'S NAME TO BE KEVIN R. METCALF (HE LIVED IN TORONTO AT THE TIME AND NOW IN HAMILTON, ONTARIO) (BIRTH FATHER HAS 2 DAUGHTERS FROM ANOTHER MARRIAGE NOW DIVORCED) BIRTH FATHER HAD 10 BROTHERS & SISTERS OF HIS OWN...SEVEN OF THESE SIBLINGS WERE OF HIS FATHER'S SECOND MARRIAGE...HIS MOTHER DIED AT AGE 20 IN 1952

Just reading your post and I know somebody by the name of Kevin Metcalf with a lot of Aunt's and Uncle's on his father's side I will check with him and see if he know's anybody else with the same name as him.Could you send me approx.age of your Birth Father.

kevin metcalf would be 53 yrs old this year...
he was born 1951

I spoke to Kevin and he does not know of any relative with the same name as him but he is going to ask his mother if she know's of anybody or try to find out through a relative.His dad is deceased so he can't ask him.I will keep trying for you.The Kevin that I know is only 32.

You and I are about the same age and I have the same problem. However, I don't know the birth father's name. My birthmother was from Indiana or Illinois and had 2 previous children from the same man and was possibly getting a divorce and didn't want him to know that she was pregnant. So, she came down to Mississippi and stayed for about 2 weeks had me and left. I was born at the Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. The name on the adoption papers was Debra Jean Stephenson and I guessing is maybe in her early 50's. Even if she doesn't want me even now I would like to me my siblings. My bday is December 4, 1975

Unfortunately, this is only my 2nd day in this forum. I have been trying to locate my bmom through the courts and privately.

i don't know about the laws in your state though for me I live in Ontario, all I did was contact the CCAS and filled out paperwork requesting my non id (this was in 1994) and I rec'd it within a few months. there was alot of info (all non id of course) though the CCAS immediately put me in contact with the ministry of social services and I put my name on a registry to see if someone was regiestered and of course - no one was then I was put onto a list for a search - my turn finally came up in 2001 - 7 years later....** was my 1st search and my sw told me it could take months to contact her...well sure enough they found her in 2 days....and with all my bad luck she REFUSED contact with me....
I was devestated to say the least.....** did reveale medical though I wanted contact and she DID NOT....I am still carrying this hurt and resentment every day of my life...the story is much more detailed...if you want email me at smith81299@hotmail.com
