that depends

It will depend on what state you are in and what agency handled your adoption. Start by speaking to the agency you were adopted through. Many state agencies and some private agencies will release non-id info without a court order.

If for some reason you do need a court order, the clerk of court in the county you were adopted in can give you the info on what you will need.

Good Luck,

Lewellen

I hate agencies making people pay for info. Before you fork over the bucks, since you have a birthdate, get on the Florida board and see if anyone can check a birth list for you. Also look for a search angel in FLorida. I don't know much about that state, I'm from Missouri. But I'm sure people with experience with your state know some tricks. Many of us will help you out for free. Wish I could do more for you.

Good Luck,

LewEllen
