Question how do i find my bmom if i dont know her married name?

I am sure she has gotten married over the past 26 years, but I don't know how to find her without that name. Also, she was born in Scotland and lived in Canada when she had me (I was adopted in Florida) so she doesn't even have a US social security number!!! Every where I go, I run into walls!

hi

My birthmom was born in England. I was adopted in the US (NJ). I found my birthmom (deceased), but with an investigating service in FL. I can send you the information if you are interested. All I had was her maiden name. Do you have her birthdate? That helps. My birthmom was still in NJ & only 45 minutes from were I live now & 20 minutes my whole life!!! Just a thought. Thanx. Sue

Hi

Here is a site that you might find some info. from:

http://groups.msn.com/AdoptionScotland/

There is a useful information section where there are places to contact listed.

Perhaps your bmother went back to Scotland and there may be records there of her and her family.

Good luck

Regards

Rowan

info.?

Go to www.checkemout.com!!! It's worth a shot & doesn't cost much at all. That was my last shot of hope. Of course, I was too late. But I am happy just knowing who I am & I have her friends to tell me about her. Please let me know how you make out. Thanx, Sue

My mother, also from Canada, had remarried. But, my non-identifying information said that she had a brother. I used the little information I had about him to find him and therefore her. If your non-id shows that your mother had any male siblings, perhaps that will be helpful to you in your search.

obituaries

Hi,

The best place to find your birthmom's name would (sadly) be in the obituary for one of your birthgrandparents. If either of her parents died after she was married, the obituary would most likely contain your birthmom's married name (as well as her husband's name). This is how I found my best friend's bmom.

Good luck!

Kelly

I am in Canada

amadsen,

Where in Canada was your bmother from? Do you have names of your birthgrandparents? I can do some checking for you here if you want to send me the info. I am not a professional- my only experience is finding my friend's bmom, but I learned a lot doing that search.

Best of luck!

Kelly

does anyone know where Edinburgh, Scotland is? Like Canda and the U.S., does it have a state or province too?
