Needing some help with finding birthmother

Hello. I have put a couple of messages here and I have had not luck at all with finding my birth mother. I am getting pretty frustrated and not sure what else I should do. I come here and read the renuion stories and want so much to find her. I see where other birthmothers have found their children and wonder why my birthmother hasn't tried to "find" me. I have this file of adoption papers that my aparents gave me and I have petitioned to have my records opened and I am told no. Why do I not have that right?

I was born in Torrance California on November 18, 1970, so my records show. I also know that sometimes that information is changed, so I how would I know if this information I have is correct? Is there anyone who can help me with my search?

Very frustrated,
Samantha

You don't have that right because you are adopted in CA and in CA the records are sealed. This the plight of the adoptee. I suggest you get your non-identifying information, sign up with registries (ISRR) and go from there. And most importantly, don't ever give up.

Non identifying information/reply to KaseyHamnerMS

I have all the non-identifying information I need. Even down to the caseworkers name. The only information I don't have is my birthmother or birthfathers name. I now need some identifying information. I have petitioned the CA court to "unseal" my records and I have been told no. I don't know where to go from there.
