An adoption attorney, one specializing in adoption, may take your case if you have no money....You must be supporting him, right? I think you have a good case for abandonment on the part of bio dad, plus the domestic violence. GOOD FOR YOU!!! You go, girl, and have a great life!

If your ex has made NO contact w/ the chid for six months or more by law that is abandament. Go file court papers (Pro-Per) for full custody
