Posed a question

Is the age limit for a person to adopt based upon state requirements ex. the reference to 45 years between the adult (parent) child. Would this apply in the event of a grandparent adopting a grandchild or obtaining custody?

how old?

Hello,
my husband is 59 and I am 37. Since there shouldn't be more than 45 years difference between the parent and child - could we still do it if one of qualifies in that respect?

Thanks,

Jamila
