How are these adoption agencies sending kids into dysfunctional homes? Do they not do any background on the adoptive parents and such?

Hate to be a bummer, but we sent our taxes in a week ago, with a supposed refund date of 2-1. This was WITHOUT any credit this year. As of yesterday, we had a unexpected bump with a delay of a week, or so, added to VERY simple taxes.

We adopted an uncircumcised infant boy (albeit not from Russia). We have had no issues. I have heard of people who have had the circumcision done after their child arrives here - it is not always covered by insurance, as many company plans consider it an elective procedure.

Peanut will be 1 y.o. in two weeks. We have a visit planned to see his first mom that weekend. this will be our third visit since he can home with us at 2 days old, the last visit being just before Christmas. my little C was told by her care givers who disrupted the placement that when she came to me, I would be adopting her. Her mother also told her, and her mother always refered to me as momma.
