Hi, I am in Canada so I'm not sure if I am any help to you at all but receiving my original birth certificate was the ay I found my birth family. I contacted our Canadian Parliament (the number was in the phone book in the government section under adoption) and it cost me $50 which gave me my birthmom's name, address at time of birth and all info. on her at the time of my birth. Hope this helps
Tina
