Glad to hear from you.  Sounds like you are cautiously moving forward. It is actually really good that you and your Dw have had chance to engage in the extra discussions generated by her current sw. That's a plus; most people get into adoption from the foster system with little or no true idea of what that can encompass. Most classes touch lightly on many theoretical situations but not so many actual, nitty gritty kinds of things. (Yeah, it all sounds nitty gritty when you are in class, but the reality is way more intense.)
