Hi Missy and Ali...

Sorry it's taken me so long to reply. Thanks for answering. I would really like to share info, too.

What kinds of things are you doing to incorrporate your children NA heritage into their upbringing?

We have been taking ours to powwows and trying to make some connections in the NA community-not easy to do in my area. The nearest settlement in an hour and a half away and the hometown of their bmom. I have joined us in a first nations group and attend meetings 1 time per month but I don't feel like I am very well recieved by the NA members (YET-I hope).
I also buy lots of books to read to them as they are appropriate.

Do either of you have any connection with the NA communities in your areas?

I saw on Adoption Stories on DiscoveryHealth Channel where in Canada they have so many CA parents adopting aboriginal children that they have started actual "classes" the the kids to learn their heritage. I think that is and awesome idea.

ALI143-What do you mean you are going to committee?

Missy-Does fd mean first daughter?
