Well....

I really want to adopt a baby (preferably 6-12 months, maybe younger but not older) as soon as Andrew (my bio-child) turns 12 months! A second pregnancy is not something I can do right now for a few reasons, I want another baby soon and I've always wanted a family consiting of biological and adopted kids. I love raising kids and I know I can love an adopted child the same as I love Andrew.

I think my husband did not think of it before but when I brought the issue up he disagreed. Now I know that it would be a very bad idea to bring a baby home if it is not really wanted by both parents so there is no way Iam doing it if he does not agree finally and if he is not exciting by it. Raising a child is hard and I can forsee the problems that it could cause if one of the adopting parents was not very keen. So Iam not going to do it unless and until dh not only agrees but expresses a desire to do it similar to the one I have.

I know what Iam asking is hard, but is there any way that I can manage to not only change his mind but also getting him excited with the idea? Maybe if he sees a potential adopting child, dunno?
