farmgirl,

A home study is really not complicated. It's more of an annoyance than anything. A counselor, phsycologist or someone the court appoints will set a time to come to your home and speak to you, your husband and your daughter. You will most likely have to fill out a packet of information about yourselves. The counselor will interview you all as a family and then individually. She will then do the same with the biological father. She or he will then give a report to the courts. It's a pretty small things to complete when it comes to your husband being your daughter's father for the rest of her life. Good luck and if you have any questions let me know.
