So sorry for what you went through...there really are just plain evil people in the world, or so broken and messed up from what they may not have gotten themselve,s they aren't in a position to parent. I was in an abusive ad home growing up, but not as bad as that...I think I would not have any contact w/ a 'mom' like that again...it may bring healing to you though to send her a letter (?)
