My parents adopted me when I was 13 months old. They didn't have a party but introduced me to family and friends a few at a time. We never celebrated
"adoption day" or anything like that. My birthday was celebrated just like everyone else. Of course adoption, while never being denied or kept secret, was not focused on the way it is in some homes today.
Hope you get some feedback from others and Congratulations on finalizing the adoption. That is so great the your daughter that's been with you for two years has a forever home.
