I tend to agree with Jessica - My son BFather has treated him badly in that past, and now that I'm remarried, he was the one who initiated adoption.
My son is 15 and DEFINETLY DOES NOT anything to do with the BDad OR his family.
I am sorry you feel that it is the wrong thing to do.
