Question Step-parent adoption & name change
I think I know the answer to this, but would like input of people that have dealt with this.

Is a surname change automatic/mandatory with a step-parent adoption?

Is there a way to find out if a step-parent adoption was ever finalized?

I'd appreciate any help you can give me.
