We also sent a cover letter with a B/W copy of our DBML (figuring it would be easier for them to copy in B/W). Didn't get any response, but my wife and I enjoyed going to Kinkos, copying, folding, stuffing, licking, and talking about the process. it was a nice "time apart" from the day-to-day. I love for PAPs to engage in these sorts of activities because it keeps your energy flowing out into the world and increases your sense of participation in the process. Direct results from initiative like this are less important than ongoing participation.
