Hello there, this was also part of our homestudy in GA. I just wrote a very general letter for each. You dont know what ages of children and you dont know the birthparents so its mostly just kind of what you would want them to know about you.
Example: Dear child,
My name is _______ and my husband's name is ______. we very much want to be parents and we hope to adopt someday. We live in ______ and our house is ______, we have a dog and cat.
and so on.
For the birthparent, pretty much the same thing-its not something the birthparent will ever see as far as I know. It appeared to be an exercise in establishing contact. You can talk more about your parenting skills in the parent letter and also about support relationships. (they really make that a high priority in foster/adopt and now I know why) But all in all, dont sweat it because its just a general letter to any child or any birthparent.
I hope this info. helps.
Kathy
