I brought my daughter home in October. In November, I brought my daughter and three nephews to get a Christmas picture done - all of the grandchildren. I didn't realize how stressful pictures were.
We got through the picture thing, pulled the boys out of the toy store and I brought the kids to the pizza parlor, while we waited the hour for the pictures. I got all four settled in - pizza, soda, napkins etc.
All of my sudden, my five year old nephew says as loud as he can, "Now that C is home from Russia, when are you going to adopt her Daddy!?!"
The place was packed with Christmas shoppers and everyone turned around to look at us. I think I had made enough of a scene trying to get all four settled and really wasn't ready to handle all of the additional stares. Some people even started pointing.
